PS4 Outsells Xbox One on Amazon As Launch Day Stock Runs Out

In similar fashion to GameStop, Amazon has announced on their Facebook page that they’ve sold out of both PS4 Launch and Xbox One Day One Editions. Pre-orders are still open for the standard editions though, they just aren’t guaranteed to ship for launch:

After a crazy and exciting month, we’ve sold through our initial allocations of PS4 and Xbox One. Thank you to all who have ordered and shared your opinions. We have the Standard Editions for both consoles still available, but we can’t guarantee these at release. Please check back here as we’ll update you first if we receive further release day allocations.

So, now that we know the pre-orders for the PS4 Launch Edition and Xbox One Day One Edition are closed (for now), we can take a look at the sales ranking for the systems. As it stands, the PS4 Launch Edition is at #3 on the Amazon 2013 Best Sellers, finishing three spots ahead of the Xbox One Day One Edition which is at #6.

Did you get your PS4 pre-order in before they ended? Let us know in the comments below.
