Just based on the fact that Grand Theft Auto V was given some attention at Sony’s E3 2013 Press Conference, there’s an exclusive headset coming to PS3, and a 500GB PS3 bundle that just received a price drop releasing on September 17th, we have to hope that the close ties mean that Grand Theft Auto V will be a Day 1 Digital title on the PSN.
In the world of official confirmation though, according to Fred Dutton, SCEE Blog Manager, there’s “no news at present I’m afraid.” We’ll do our best to get to the bottom of whether or not GTA V will be available on the PSN at launch, and if we hear anything, we’ll be sure to let you know.
What we can confirm, however, is that the 2013 Summer Sale is pegged to start in Europe at the end of the month, says Fred, who believes that the date in the PlayStation Store advertising it for this week is marking a different deal, “but the summer sale proper kicks [off] later in the month.” Expect details on the Summer Sale soon.
Finally, in unhappy news, Fred said of PSN releases for Timesplitters 1, 2, 3 and Ghosthunter: “I’ve got no news on whether they’re in the pipeline, but if I hear anything I will of course pass it on.” So, it doesn’t seem like it will be time to split any time soon, but we can hope!
