Update: Activision has told us that they’ll “be making an announcement in due course.”
Original Story: It looks like the birds will be making their way to PlayStation and other systems once again as Amazon.com has posted a listing for Angry Birds Star Wars. Priced at $39.99 and given an October 29th release date, it’s expected for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Wii U, Wii, and 3DS.
There’s no other details given by Amazon, though based on the name, we can make a good guess and say that this is going to include Angry Birds Star Wars, as well as Angry Birds Star Wars 2, with the latter launching on mobile devices this September 19th.
One interesting new feature with ABSW2 is Telepods, a sort of Skylanders-esque feature, which you can see in action with the game’s announcement trailer:
We’ve reached out to Activision in order to see if Angry Birds Star Wars is true, what it includes, and what features might be making their way over from the mobile version.
Did you buy the Angry Birds Trilogy and would buy this on PS3 or PS Vita? Let us know in the comments below.
