PS4 Passes Through the FCC: Weighs 2.8kg/6.1lbs, Model Number is CUH-1001A

Thanks to a finding by Engadget, we now know that the PlayStation 4 has passed through the FCC, with the office giving us a few more pieces of hardware information, including the fact that the PS4 weighs approximately 2.8kg (6.17lbs). Putting that in perspective, the PlayStation 3 Phat was 4.99kg (11lbs), with the PlayStation 3 Slim (not Super Slim) being 3.49kg (7.7lbs).

A few other pieces of information show off that the PlayStation 4 has a “maximum clock frequency” of 2.75GHz, the model number is CUH-1001A, the size is 275 x 53 x 305 mm, the optimal temperature you want the PS4 running in is 5-35 degrees Celsius, and the country of manufacture is China/Japan.

As someone on NeoGaf pointed out, the PlayStation 3 went through the FCC September 15th, 2006, two months before it eventually launched in November.
