When you go to buy Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on either the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 when it launches later this year, you’ll be treated to an exclusive one hour of gameplay featuring Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation heroine, Aveline de Grandpré.
As the Ubi Blog details, Liberation writer Jill Murray will be helming Aveline’s story this time around, which takes place a while after the finale of the Vita outing. Divided into three missions, Darby McDevitt, Lead Writer on Assassin’s Creed IV, explains that “It’s a ways forward so Aveline is a bit older. It’s not directly related to the end of her story. If Assassin’s Creed IV is like a novel, Aveline’s missions are like a short story.”
The way in which Aveline’s missions are accessible is revealed by McDevitt, who said, “You are able to access the Aveline stuff because your coworkers [at Abstergo Entertainment] are working on retrieving different genetic memories from all kinds of different people.”
Are you excited to play as Aveline? Let us know in the comments below.
