Bethesda: Hard to Say if PS4/Xbox One/PC/Mac Versions of The Elder Scrolls Online Will Release Simultaneously

Back when The Elder Scrolls Online was announced for the PS4/Xbox One, and quickly given a Spring 2014 release date, it seemed to imply that the PS4/Xbox One/PC/Mac versions of the game would all launch at the exact same time.

Easily missable as part of an interview with ShackNews, Paul Sage, Creative Director on The Elder Scrolls Online, revealed that there is a chance we may not be seeing TESO launching on all systems at the same time:

What we are planning is making sure all of the platforms are top quality, so it’s kind of hard at this point to say they would be simultaneous release or not, but the goal is spring of 2014.

Since we are 10 months away from the end of spring 2014, and development is a fickle mistress, Paul could just be thinking out loud on this matter. If Bethesda does decide to delay the console versions of The Elder Scrolls Online past that of the PC/Mac ones though, we’ll definitely let you know.

In the meantime, you can still sign up for the beta.

If the PS4/Xbox One versions are delayed, would you wait for them, or just buy the game on PC/Mac instead? Let us know in the comments below.
