Update 2: heck out more details for Mirror Fate HD, which include the fact that lip-syncing will be a thing this time around!
Update: Here’s a bunch of screenshots for Mirror of Fate HD:
Original Story: Not waiting until gamescom, Konami has confirmed that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD is indeed headed to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 29th in North America and October 31st in Europe, but so far they have only detailed that it’s coming to the PlayStation Network and XBLA, rather than part of the retail bundle spotted last week.
Addressing some of the systems Mirror of Fate HD isn’t coming to, Dave Cox, Producer on the Lords of Shadow series, replied to some questions on Twitter, revealing that “we have no plans for a Vita version,” they are “seriously looking into” a PC version, and there’s “no plans for Wii U.” Though there are no plans for either the PS Vita or Wii U, Dave had previously said back in February that Mirror of Fate on 3DS is “100% not planned or in development for any other system,” but it’s happening now because “we got a lot of people asking us to do it and so we looked into it and now here we are!”
As to exactly why there aren’t any plans for Vita or Wii U, Dave said, “We don’t have unlimited people or money, so we look at what systems might give us some kind of return.”
Dave also retweeted what appears to be the first screenshot from the HD version of the game:
We should expect to see a trailer for Mirror of Fate HD very soon (hopefully alongside a pricing announcement), possibly at gamescom.
