LittleBigPlanet Hub With Create Tools And More Coming To PS3 For Free

At Sony’s gamescom press conference, all of their best and brightest franchises were on display, including LittleBigPlanet. Sony revealed that they’re taking an alternative approach to how LBP content is created, shared, and delivered, through a new free-to-play experience called LittleBigPlant Hub, coming exclusively to the PS3.

The free download will provide players with access to the first two stages from LBP and LBP2, as well as unrestricted access to the game’s Create mode, and all of the community created content with it. Players will be given the option to add more via the way of freemium content, on a per piece basis. Those that already own LBP and LBP2 will be able to import their player profiles, and access things like DLC or content they already created.

This new initiative hopes to keep the LittleBigPlanet community thriving, even without another retail release, and lure new players in who’ve yet to get their feet wet with creating, playing, and sharing.

LittleBigPlanet Hub will arrive on the PS3 later this year.
