Shuhei on The Last Guardian: It “Has Never Stopped”, He Can’t Talk About Which System It’s Releasing For

In part 2 of his interview with GI.Biz, President of Sony Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida talked about Jack Tretton’s The Last Guardian comments following their E3 Press Conference where he said it was on hiatus:

Hiatus, I never… It was Jack Tretton! He used that term, and I said no, hiatus is misleading. It was a hiatus in terms of releasing new information. The game has never stopped – the team has always been here. They’re going through the re-engineering of the game, so the team size is smaller, because it’s more engineering focused right now.

Shuhei then added how they’re just waiting to re-introduce The Last Guardian in an appropriate way:

Well, the game is in development, and it’s well staffed, and Ueda-san is here [at Sony Studios Japan], working – even though he’s not a Sony employee, he’s dedicated to the product. But we’re not ready to update yet.

When asked what console TLG would release for, Shuhei only said, “Ahh… That, I cannot talk about.”

Do you think it’s a foregone conclusion that The Last Guardian is headed to PS4? Let us know in the comments below.
