Yesterday, Shuhei Yoshida gave out an explanation of just what the PlayStation App will be able to do once it launches alongside the PlayStation 4 later this year.
Naturally, many people began to wonder if the PS App would make its way to the PlayStation Vita as well, with Shuhei replying to a follower on Twitter by saying, “PS Vita already does most of what PS App will do, so we are adding what’s missing to Vita by ‘PS4 Link’ app.” There was no timeframe given for the PS4 Link app, but we’ll let you know if we hear anything.
Looking at the PS4, Europe has known they can expect the Magma Red and Wave Blue DualShock 4 controllers at PS4 launch on November 29th, but North America was only given the “later this year” date. While he didn’t narrow down the release in North America, Shuhei did at least say that we should still expect them “soon after the launch of PS4.” Once the new colors go up for pre-order, we’ll be sure to let you know.
Also, Shuhei said they still don’t expect HDMI capture at launch, you can’t transfer trophies from one account to another on PS4, and Shuhei owns one Japanese Wii U and one North American Wii U.
Are you going to wait on buying a second DualShock 4 until the red/blue ones come out? Let us know in the comments below.
