Velocity Ultra Headed to PlayStation 3, Won’t Support Cross Buy or Cross Saves

Released earlier this year for the PlayStation Vita, FuturLab has announced that Velocity Ultra will be coming to the PlayStation 3 later this year in full HD, with Curve Studios handling publishing duties.

Due to Curve Studios handling the publishing for the PS3, and FuturLab having done the PS Vita version, “Cross Buy is not going to be possible.” The good news about the lack of Cross Buy is that “those who really wanted to pay for Velocity Ultra and were disappointed it was on PS+ can now do so if they want to! :D.”

As well, Velocity Ultra won’t support Cross Saves, though it will share trophies and leaderboards.

James Marsden, Managing Director of FuturLab, had this to say about the PS3 version of Velocity Ultra:

I’m genuinely proud of what we achieved with Velocity Ultra. We poured our creative heart and soul into this game, and it’s fantastic to be working with Curve to bring the game to more players.

We’ll let you know when a price and release date are announced.
