We’ve already done a comprehensive instructional post on exactly how you’ll be able to upgrade your physical or digital PS3 games to digital versions of those games on PS4 for a small fee, but Sony has made a few changes that are worth noting.
Very recently, and without any warning, Sony and Warner Bros. have quietly added Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition to the list of eligible titles in Europe, but not North America. Although no details were given as to the cost of the upgrade or the expiry date for Injustice, it’s likely to be either £9.99/€9.99 or £11.99/€14.99.
Also, the recently delayed Watch Dogs has been removed from the program entirely in both Europe and North America. While it’s highly possible you’ll be able to the upgrade when the game does eventually release in Spring 2014, we’ll have to wait for more information from Ubisoft and Sony closer to the game’s release.
With these additions, the updated list of games eligible for the upgrade program in Europe and North America is as follows:
North America
- Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
- Battlefield 4
- Call of Duty: Ghosts
Europe
- Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
- Battlefield 4
- Call of Duty: Ghosts
- Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition
- NBA 2K14
Don’t forget to check out our November 2013 release date page and PS4 launch title page to see when each of these titles releases.
