Report: DualShock 4 on PS3 Doesn’t Work With Grand Theft Auto V, FIFA 14, More

If you go out to buy a DualShock 4 controller early and would like to use it on your PS3, there are some restrictions you should be aware of before plugging in your shiny new controller through USB.

While it’s universal that you won’t be able to use the motion sensor, rumble, TouchPad, or PlayStation button (use a DualShock 3 as your second controller to alleviate that), some games just aren’t compatible with the DualShock 4 at all, with others only working partially.

In a post on Reddit, they have compiled a list of these titles, which we’ve placed below:

Works With Restrictions

  • Heavy Rain (Reminder: No motion sensing)
  • Resistance 2 (DualShock 3 needed to get past start screen)

Doesn’t Work at All

  • FIFA 14
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Jak & Daxter Collection (Only the analog sticks work)
  • Resistance 3
  • Gran Turismo 5

If a game isn’t listed, you can assume that it will work with the DualShock 4, but if you’ve noticed any other titles are not compatible or have some restrictions, please let everyone know in the comments below.
