Update: Thanks to Jim for sending us the back of the Knack box art, which shows that it requires 37GB of your PS4 HDD and outputs in 1080p:
Original Story: With DualShock 4 controllers, the PlayStation Camera, and some PS4 games starting to become available for purchase in stores, we’ll slowly start to learn the install sizes for the retail versions of each launch title.
When it comes to Knack, Twitter user @JoshLMusic purchased the game (and a PlayStation Camera), which he posted on his account (see above). Shortly after uploading the pic, he revealed that the back of the Knack box says “HDD 37GB,” suggesting that there will be a 37GB install on the game.
Then, on forum site A9VG, a user put up what appears to be the final box art for Killzone: Shadow Fall, showing that it requires a minimum of 45GB on your HDD:
Since there’s no evidence of the actual back of the box on a physical copy, we’ll have to treat both these install sizes as a rumor for now.
If you happen to purchase any PS4 games prior to November 15th (or see them in stores), feel free to snap a picture of the back of the box and send it to tips@playstationlifestyle.net so we can let everyone know what the install size is of each game prior to launch day. We promise to thank you with lots of money.*
Provided these install sizes are correct, what do you think of them? Let us know in the comments below.
*Money may be imaginary.
