Update: If you don’t have a console to trade in, you’ll still get 30% extra credit on your games, accessories, and more when trading towards your PS4.
Original Story: Every single GameStop store in the United States will be hosting pre-launch PS4 events on Sunday, November 10th, giving you the chance to win items in giveaways and play the PlayStation 4 at demo stations in select locations.
There will also be a special trade-in offer on November 10th, where you can trade in any used systems towards a PS4 and receive 90% extra credit (the system must work and have all the necessary cables/components).
GameStop Senior Merchant Darron Nielsen had this to say about the offer:
Utilizing GameStop’s buy-sell-trade model, our customers will receive the most value for their current generation consoles and games, something no other retailer is offering. This allows consumers the ability to purchase a PS4 at a more affordable price, making it more accessible for gaming fans.
Come November 14th, select stores will stay open that evening for the midnight release of the PlayStation 4, with the system going on sale at 12:01AM on November 15th for everyone who pre-ordered the system.
