Until Dawn “Is Very Much Still in Development,” Says Supermassive Games

With Puppeteer and rain out now, and the new Wonderbook titles going on sale next week, we’re now just waiting on Until Dawn from Supermassive Games, which hasn’t received an update of more than a job listing since this summer.

At the very least, it appears as though Until Dawn is still in development at Supermassive Games, as Managing Director Managing Pete Samuels told Polygon:

Until Dawn is very much still in development, going really well, and without any deliberations of possible cancellation that I’m aware of. We’re very pleased with the way it’s going. I’m sure that there will be more news soon, but I couldn’t say exactly when.

Pete wasn’t able to comment further on whether it’s still the same game we originally saw or if it will be moved to the PlayStation 4.

As well, it’s been confirmed that Supermassive Games won’t be developing any more Doctor Who games following the poor reception of The Eternity Clock, with VP of Digital Entertainment and Games at the BBC Paul Joffe saying:

We will not be releasing any further Eternity Clock games, nor did any other go into production. We also have no current work with Supermassive. We do have Doctor Who games in the pipeline and we will be announcing these in due course.

When do you think we’ll see Until Dawn? Do you think it will be on PS3 or PS4? Let us know in the comments below.
