After it was revealed how the “shocking” announcement from Hideo Kojima was the Déjà-Vu mission being PlayStation exclusive, Konami has released a 12-minute gameplay video for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, which was captured from a PS4.
In the video, a Side Ops day mission is showcased, showing Big Boss needing to retrieve key intelligence from a double agent:
Hideo Kojima talked about Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes over on Twitter, revealing how that PlayStation-exclusive mission isn’t DLC:
“”Déjà-Vu Mission” of [Ground Zeroes] IS NOT DLC. [Ground Zeroes] has a main mission along w/ multiple side OPS and SCE exclusive contents call “Déjà-Vu Mission”.”
“Wanted to create game like movie “Great Escape”. That was the start. Such tension you try to move & stay away from the search light. For 26 yrs since then, it finally made it possible.”
“Wasn’t possible w/MSX2 SPRITE in 1987, even w/PS1 3D polygon in 1998 was hard that could only draw one curving search light. “Déjà-Vu Mission” has a lot more than using low polygon Snake skin. It’s special mission of exploring Shadow Moses-ish GZ base.”
“On Monday next [week], “Déjà-Vu Mission’s” further detailed trailer on our official site. This one can be easier to understand & even funnier.”
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes releases in Spring 2014. On PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Ground Zeroes will be available for $29.99/£29.99 at retail, or $19.99/£19.99 digitally. As for PS4 and Xbox One, you can expect a digital only release for $29.99/£29.99.
