It’s almost to be expected, but the PlayStation Network has gone down after day one midnight PS4 users hopped onto the network to download the firmware update, games and play online. Some users report receiving the error code NW-31453-6 or NP-3500-8 and the message “The network connection has been lost.”
Of course, the PS4 has only been out for just over an hour in only a part of Northern America, so the servers will likely get even more crowded when the rest of the continent is able to get their hands on one of the consoles.
Should we put up with down times like this at major launches, or now that we have to pay for online, should Sony prepare better? Sound off in the comments below, and don’t forget that you can update the PS4 by USB.
