Just a few days after system software update 1.50 came out for the PS4, Sony has released 1.51, which is billed as a “minor required update.”
There’s only a couple of update notes associated with 1.51, which you can read about below:
- Stability of system software has been improved.
- Minor refinements to elements of the system UI (such as clearly indicating when a user downloads a game and a game patch at the same time) have been introduced.
If your PS4 is in stand-by mode, 1.51 should have been automatically downloaded by now (auto downloads are enabled by default in stand-by), otherwise you can download it yourself the next time you turn on your PS4. Those of you who need to download 1.51 to a USB stick can head over here for more information.
