With the PlayStation 4 launch in Europe and Black Friday deals that include a 1 year PlayStation Plus membership for $29.99, it was bound to happen that the PlayStation Network would be experiencing some issues, and it is happening right now.
For users in Europe, the official PlayStation Europe Twitter account posted this:
We are aware some users are experiencing issues logging into PSN on PS4 due to the heavy traffic we are receiving, we’re investigating.
Thanks for your patience.
PlayStation Access then tweeted about how PlayStation Support in Europe is very busy:
Due to the incredible interest in PS4, PlayStation Support is currently very busy, but they’re there to help until midnight tonight!
For those of us in North America, the US PlayStation site posted this PSN status update:
Due to high volume on PSN, some users may experience network latency. We are aware of the issue and working to resolve it as quickly as possible. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
Whether or not it’s because of these issues, the US PlayStation Store flash sale that was advertised (and will include games like The Last of Us, Diablo III, Saints Row IV, and more) still hasn’t gone live. We’ll let you know once we hear anything.
