Way back when Capcom announced that we’d be getting Ultra Street Fighter IV, they had given it a tentative “early 2014” release date. That has turned out to be a ways off as the official release date for Ultra Street Fighter IV is early June 2014 and August.
Yes, it will be a staggered release, with the $14.99/€14.99 digital upgrade for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions becoming available in early June 2014. Then in August, the PC digital upgrade for $14.99/€14.99, and full digital bundle and retails versions on PS3 and Xbox 360 for $39.99/€39.99, will be released.
If you’re a little confused about the digital upgrade and retail versions of the game, Capcom offered up this explanation back at the original announcement:
If you own Super Street Fighter IV or Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, you can download the update for $14.99. This will upgrade the game as is, with all your data intact. The other option would be to buy the disc version, which will give you all DLC costumes for all characters released until now, as well as future content (to be discussed in the future). This option is available for $39.99.
