Giving out a “we’ll announce when we are ready to do so” response when asked yet again about the PS4 Pulse Elite headset firmware update, Shuhei Yoshida tackled a couple other PS4 topics over on his Twitter account this weekend.
One of them has to do with 3D Blu-ray playback, which was confirmed in November to not be available at PS4 launch. Offering up a little update on the status of 3D Blu-ray playback on PS4 and when we might see it, Shuhei said, “Sorry, we do not know yet.” Based on this answer, don’t expect to see this feature added in the next PS4 firmware update.
Here’s the few other pieces of information Shuhei doled out this weekend:
- Asked if they were listening to fan feedback about wanting the DualShock 4’s light bar turned off, he replied, “We pay close attention to what people say to us.”
- Shuhei will pass along to the dev team about increasing the PS4 message limit from 200.
- According to Shuhei, Sony is aware of some people’s PS4 Share buttons recording the wrong footage at times, but “not everyone” is experiencing it. He didn’t address whether there’d be a patch to fix this.
- Shuhei also said, “Sorry for not able to answer” when asked about a timeline for game capture on PS4.
