With the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts getting the Onslaught DLC pack on January 28th, Activision has sent out this trailer detailing Episode 1: Nightfall, which is included inside Onslaught:

To celebrate the impending release of Onslaught on Xbox, a Call of Duty: Ghosts double XP weekend starts on Friday, January 24th at 10AM PT and ends on Monday, January 27th at 10AM PT, presumably for all platforms.
There isn’t a release date for Onslaught on PS3, PS4, and PC, but a safe guess places it on Thursday, February 27th.
