Hopefully you’ve already moved on to NBA 2K14 because 2K revealed today that the NBA 2K13 server will be discontinued on March 31st, 2014. With this, you will no longer be able to play in ranked games or Online Association.
No further details were provided, but if 2K decides to do something special before the server goes away on March 31st, we’ll let you know.
NBA 2K13 is just another game added to the list of titles discontinuing their online services. On March 28th, Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, and Resistance 3 will all have their online features deactivated, while Gran Turismo 5 (important DLC information here) will follow on May 31st.
Also, if you happened to miss the announcement earlier this month, NBA 2K15 is in the works and will likely release in the usual October timeframe.
