Watch Dogs PS3/PS4 Release Date Confirmed as May 27th, 2014

It wasn’t supposed to happen until a little later on today, but thanks to some leaks, Ubisoft decided to announce Watch Dogs’ release date early. Yes, Tuesday, May 27th will be the launch in both North America and Europe for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC (the Wii U version will show up later).

Here’s a new story trailer to go along with the confirmed release date:

As you may already know, Watch Dogs for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 will include 60 minutes of exclusive content. There’s also going to be a Watch Dogs PS3 bundle and Watch Dogs PS4 bundle in Europe (no confirmation for North America yet):

Speaking to the PlayStation exclusives of Watch Dogs was Michael Pattison, VP of Third Party Relations at SCEE:

We’re really excited for the launch of Watch Dogs on both PS3 and PS4 and are confident that it will prove to be one of the standout games of 2014.

It’s a unique and visionary game and we believe that the exclusive content available via PSN will not only excite gamers, but showcase how PlayStation is a preferred destination for Watch Dogs.

You can expect more Watch Dogs videos and information to be revealed as we approach the May 27th release date.

There was no word on whether the PS3 to PS4 digital upgrade program would still apply when Watch Dogs launches, so stay tuned for details on that as they arrive.
