We brought up the possibility of this becoming the norm when we showed you the Mugen Souls Z box art last week, and now Sony has confirmed to IGN that the PS3 box art will be changing to a blue color, most likely to put it in line with what you see on PS4 and PS Vita.

With Sony’s confirmation of the box art color change, they did say it would be commonplace going forward. They didn’t say when exactly all games would have the new blue color, but with Deception IV: Blood Ties releasing on March 25th, don’t be surprised if every new PS3 game released after that has the new look.
