Zen Studios has kicked off GDC week by announcing that CastleStorm: Defintive Edition and KickBeat: Special Edition are coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Spring. That isn’t all though, as new tables for Pinball FX2 on Xbox and Zen Pinball 2 on PS4 will include themes like Marvel, Star Wars, and Plants vs. Zombies (Zen Studios also teased new, unannounced IPs that will make their way to Xbox One this year).
Here’s what you can expect from KickBeat and CastleStorm on PS4 and Xbox One:
KickBeat: Special Edition
- Zen Studios is “adding a bunch of new features, additional soundtracks, and other enhancements are being added to the original campaign.”
CastleStorm: Defintive Edition
- Will run at 1080p/60fps.
- Includes the entire original campaign and expansions.
- New content includes new battles, modes, spells, and features.
Mel Kirk, Zen Studios VP of Publishing, had this to say about bringing these games to the new consoles:
It is an exciting time for independent developers and we definitely feel strong support from both Microsoft and Sony in helping us bring our games to these new consoles. Our community has been shouting at us to bring games to Xbox One and PlaySation 4. Today it is a relief to let them know that games are on the way!
