About this time last month, the Asian PlayStation Blog revealed the existence of Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition for the PlayStation 4, while also simultaneously confirming it as our March 2014 PS4 PlayStation Plus free game.
Well, history has repeated itself, as the Asian PlayStation Blog has given out the April 2014 preview for that region, confirming Mercenary Kings is the PlayStation 4 PlayStation Plus free game when it releases on April 3rd. With Mercenary Kings set to launch on April 1st in North America and April 2nd in Europe, there’s no reason to believe it won’t also be the PS4 free game in those regions for April as well, especially after Secret Ponchos was ruled out.

Fred Dutton of the EU PS Blog recently said, “In the interest of full disclosure, for the foreseeable future, you can expect PS Plus games to be announced 5-7 days before they go live. We’ll be confirming April details towards the end of the week. Sorry to keep you folks waiting.” Basically, expect to hear about all the confirmed April 2014 PlayStation Plus free games on Thursday.
