BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea Episode 2 Trophy Guide

Welcome to PlayStation LifeStyle’s trophy guide for BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea Episode 2! The final piece of downloadable content for BioShock Infinite has arrived and it comes with 10 new trophies to earn. Much like the first episode of Burial at Sea, the trophies are all very easy to obtain. This DLC also comes with a new game mode, 1998 mode. Unlike 1999 mode from the main game, 1998 doesn’t focus on difficulty, but stealth. In 1998 mode you aren’t allowed to kill enemies. You have to take them all out non-lethally. BaS2 will only take about 4 hours to completely 100%.

Spoiler Alert: Unfortunately, there are spoilers in this guide. If you are trying to avoid spoilers, it’s recommended that you complete the game before reading any further.

The Whole Story – Silver

– Collected all Audio Diaries and Voxophones in Burial At Sea.

There are 25 Audio Diaries and Voxophones in BaS2. They aren’t super difficult to find as you are limited to where you can go. Be thorough and search each area that you go to. Most of them are behind locked doors, so always be on the look out for lockpicks. Lockpicks can also be bought from the Circus of Values vending machine for $18. The Plasmid Peeping Tom can also be used to point out the Audio Diaries and Voxophones around you and through walls.

Taffer’s Delight – Silver

– Completed Burial at Sea – Episode 2 in 1998 mode.

1998 mode is a new mode that is introduced in BaS2 and is available at the start (no cheat code needed like 1999 mode). 1998 mode disables all lethal weapons. It’s not a “harder” difficulty as it is still on Normal, you just cant lethally take anyone out. You’ll only be using your Sky Hook and Crossbow. Just a few tips to make it easier:

  • Most fights can be avoided by sneaking by enemies.
  • Noise Makers are very helpful in distracting enemies so you can sneak passed them.
  • Peeping Tom is great for either sneaking passed enemies or stealthily taking them out.

Making Some Noise – Bronze

– Gained five noisemakers through lockpicking.

You’ll be given many opportunities pick locks so you shouldn’t have a problem with that. When picking a lock, there will be 2 different colors, red and blue. To gain a a noisemaker you need to press Square when the pick is on a blue node. If you hit a red node the alarm will go off.

Twofer – Bronze

– Knocked out two or more enemies using the same Gas Bolt.

The best place to earn this trophy is right after you get the Gas Bolt for the first time. There will be a group of enemies at the top of an elevator just after the Service Bay. Get to a point where you can shoot a Gas Dart between two enemies.

Glutton for Punishment – Bronze

– Used Ironsides to collect 20 rounds of ammo or more in Burial at Sea – Episode 2.

Hold L1 with Ironside equipped to collect rounds. In order for the rounds to collect, your weapons will need to be empty or have room for more ammo. The quickest way to get this trophy will be shortly after you first get Ironside. You’ll eventually come to a room with a turret in  a window. Shoot whatever rounds you have into the ground and then stand in front of the turret holding L1 to collect everything it is shooting at you.

Dead Drop – Bronze

– On three occasions, knocked out an enemy after silently dropping off a Freight Hook.

The Sky Hooks work the same way they do in the main game of Infinite, but now you can silently land behind enemies. After you jump  off of a Sky Hook press and hold Circle to lad silently. Once you land behind someone press Triangle to knock them out.

Never Saw It Coming – Bronze

– While invisible, used Peeping Tom to knock out 15 enemies with a melee attack.

Peeping Tom will be the first Plasmid you get. Hold L1 to stay invisible, then get near an enemy and press Triangle to melee them. Upgrading it will make it a little easier to earn this as it will increase the duration of being invisible.
