Update: It may only show a few seconds of footage at the :52 mark, but here’s your announcement trailer for The Last of Us Remastered:
Original Story: Sharing a few more details about The Last of Us Remastered for PS4 is Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli (via PS Blog), where he confirmed that multiplayer progress “will not” carry over from the PS3 version to the PS4 version. He added, “We’ll be discussing multiplayer plans in the near future.”
Eric then talked a little about the technical side of The Last of Us on PS4:
We’re putting a lot of effort into this to make it really a remastered version. We have found that working on the PS4 has allowed us to evolve and upgrade the visuals and a multitude of technical aspects of the game. We love setting challenging technical hurdles at every step – and this is no different.
Monacelli also confirmed that a video showing the improvements to The Last of Us on PS4 should arrive in the coming weeks, the Post Pandemic Collector’s Edition of The Last of Us isn’t planned for PS4, more news on the third piece of DLC for The Last of Us will be given “very soon,” and Left Behind (and presumably the other two DLC packs) will be on-disc, meaning you won’t have to redeem a voucher.
