During a recent livestream, Rayman Creator Michel Ancel showed off a piece of concept art for Jade from Beyond Good & Evil, which suggested that it would be her new design in Beyond Good & Evil 2. As it turns out, that Jade image “was concept art created from the original [Beyond Good & Evil],” Ancel told IGN.
There was some potentially good news given about Beyond Good & Evil 2 from Ancel though:
Working on Rayman Legends was a nice, early holiday. So we are going to make serious games now. Beyond Good & Evil [is] a good candidate for making a real, serious game now.
Enough holidays.
Back in 2012, Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot said, “So the fact is, that working on Legends is slowing the process on Beyond Good & Evil 2.” With Rayman Legends done, hopefully Ancel and his team are able to devote all their time to Beyond Good & Evil 2.
