Original Story: Saying “a new era of Call of Duty arrives May 4th,” Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that we’ll be hearing more about their 2014 Call of Duty title on Sunday, May 4th. For a tease towards the new game, head over to CallofDuty.com to see a blurred image that will probably turn into a soldier.
Perhaps the most interesting thing on that teaser page is how it links to articles titled ‘Mercenaries and Private Military Contractors‘ and ‘The Private Military Contractor Industry is Reinventing Itself After the Demise of Blackwater‘, suggesting that Call of Duty 2014 will have lots to do with the Private Military.
For a little more about Call of Duty 2014, Game Informer has shown off the below in-game screenshot, which has BLACKSMITH in the image name:
So far, we know Sledgehammer’s Call of Duty title is being approached “as a next-gen-first development,” while the franchise is now on a 3-year development cycle.
