MLB 14: The Show on PS4 Misses Planned Midnight PSN Launch, Sony Responds (Update)

Update: Many people on Reddit have said the download has now appeared on the PlayStation Store! According to reports in that thread, you only need to download 5.3GB of the overall 40ishGB file before being able to play.

Original Post: Out today on PS4, MLB 14: The Show was supposed to be made available at 12:01AM ET to all those who had pre-ordered the game from the PlayStation Store. As the official MLB: The Show Twitter account showed last night (and tons of people on the PS Blog and PS forums), MLB 14: The Show didn’t actually come out on time:

“We’re aware that some users are unable to download the PS4 game from the PS Store. We’re working with the PS Store team to resolve ASAP.”

“Thanks for your patience, we won’t rest until you guys are playing.”

10 hours after those original tweets, Sony finally sent out this update:

Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14: The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We’ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

Considering how the PlayStation Store is usually fully updated by 2PM PT/5PM ET, MLB 14: The Show should be available by then. If you’d like to contact Sony support for any reason, head over here.
