10 Ubisoft Developers are Working on Assassin’s Creed: Unity

Putting out at least 1 new Assassin’s Creed game each year is a huge undertaking, requiring collaborations between many different Ubisoft studios to ensure they’re finished on time. For this year’s PS4/Xbox One/PC Assassin’s Creed title, Unity, the new entry set during the French Revolution is led by Ubisoft Montreal, with the Toronto, Singapore, Quebec, Annecy, Shanghai, Chengdu, Kiev, Montpellier, and Bucharest studios involved as well in some capacity.

With 26 studios worldwide and more than 8,000 developers, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot says they “will allow us to come with an enhanced pipeline of increasingly high quality franchises and new IPs. We will be able to release our franchises more and more regularly, providing solid visibility on our future revenue and profitability streams.”

During the Ubisoft earnings call, Guillemot confirmed that they’ll continue to support the PS3 and Xbox 360 “for the foreseeable future,” while also hinting at a new Assassin’s Creed coming to those systems this year.
