CD Projekt Co-Founder Marcin Iwinski has had some interesting talks with Eurogamer recently, including one where he said that they wouldn’t sacrifice the quality of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on one console “for the sake of some business arrangement.”
It appears as though that parity will extend to content within the game as well, with Iwinski explaining today:
We are treating all gamers equally. We’ll not deliver exclusive content to any of the platforms, nor will we artificially delay release of the game on any of the platforms because somebody’s paying us money for that. It’s definitely against our values. We are not doing that.
After appearing with Microsoft at E3 2013, Iwinski says The Witcher 3 will “hopefully” be on stage yet again at E3 2014, adding, “What we are doing in terms of marketing cooperation, you’ll see that at E3.”
If The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt does get a big showing at E3, it’s possible we’ll hear something about online sharing or functionality, which Iwinski said was “too early” to talk about right now.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launches in February 2015.
