The Catch-Up: E3 Week 2014 – Tons of PS4 Trailers

E3 is always the biggest week of the year for news, and E3 2014 was no different. Obviously there were some pieces of news and videos that slipped through the cracks over the last few days, so we’re going to help catch you up on some of the stuff we missed.

News

  • According to Mojang, “Minecraft on PS4 will feature worlds 36 times bigger than the ones you might be used to on PS3.” They’re also looking at how PS3 owners of the physical version can upgrade to the PS4 version for a small fee, but it’s proving difficult. [Source]
  • Amazon.com has the PlayStation Camera on for $49.99 and the Gold Headset on for $79.99 until Sunday. 
  • The Hitman: Agent 47 movie is scheduled for February 2015. [Source]
  • Already boasting over 500,000 players from its Japanese launch in January, MMORPG Onigiri is coming the PlayStation 4 this summer. [More Info]
  • H-Hour has now been approved for development on PS4 and dev kits are on their to SOF Studios. [Twitter]
  • La-Mulana Portable (Working Title), an updated version of the PC game, will arrive on the PlayStation Vita in December 2014, complete with new features. [More Info]
  • A cat was motion-captured for Dead Island 2. There will also be motorized weapons: “For example: mod a weed-cutter to a melee weapon and VRRRRM SPLAT!” [Twitter]
  • Stephen Fry will be back for LittleBigPlanet 3. [Twitter]
  • DC Universe Online is the “top F2P game across PS4/PS3.” [Twitter]
  • Naughty Dog Co-Founder Jason Rubin has joined Oculus VR. [More Info]
  • Not a Hero from Roll7 (OlliOlli) is coming to PlayStation in 2015. [More Info]
  • If you missed it, Troy Baker will be voicing the bad guy in Far Cry 4. [E3]
  • FIFA 15 releases on September 23rd in North America and September 26th in Europe. [Source]
  • Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will be available for the PS4 on July 22nd in North America and July 23rd in Europe. [Twitter]
  • NHL 15 won’t have the NHL ’94 Anniversary Mode. [Source]
  • Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep in the Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix won’t support online play. [Source]
  • The Final Fantasy Type-0 HD English voice cast will include Matthew Mercer (Leon in RE6) as Trey, Orion Acaba (Apollo Justice in Phoenix Wright) as Nine, and Cristina Vee (Noel in BlazBlue) as Cinque. [Via, Source]
