Sony Offering $10 Refund for PSN Pre-Order Buyers of The Last of Us PS4

Those who pre-ordered The Last of Us Remastered on the PlayStation network for the PlayStation 4 might have noticed that the Sony lowered the price from $59.99 to $49.99, While that $10 difference was not available to be refunded straightaway, Sony has now confirmed it is offering that amount to make up for the price reduction.

Over on Twitter, VP of Publisher & Developer Relations Adam Boyes clarified this and said that refunds for the $10 amount should be credited in the next 5-7 days.

So, for those who pre-ordered for the full $60 price, try contacting Sony’s customer support about it. And if they insist they can’t refund on PSN items, just point them to this link as proof.

In other The Last of Us PS4 news, Naughty Dog Corrinne Yu said that they’re pushing TLoU to “past 60 frames-per-second.” Also of note, check out this video comparing the PS3 and PS4 trailers of the critically acclaimed game.

Are you happy that Sony seems to be continuing on its “good guy” role? Or this shouldn’t have even reached Boyes anyway and a refund should have been automatic once the price was reduced?

The Last of Us Remastered hits the PS4 this July 29.
