Far Cry 4 “E3 2014 Accolades” Trailer Released by Ubisoft, “Kryat Edition” Revealed

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Far Cry 4 and in it, the publisher rides the E3 2014 awards train to drive home the fact that the game (so far) is good.

Not familiar with Far Cry 4? Ubisoft’s official plot synopsis for the game can be seen below.

Hidden in the towering Himalayas lies a country steeped in tradition and violence.  You are Ajay Ghale, returning to the country of your birth, the lush forests and harsh snow-capped mountains of Kyrat, to fulfill your mother’s dying wish of spreading her ashes.  This striking and unpredictable country offers visitors opportunity and peril.  You quickly find yourself caught up in a rebellion to overthrow the oppressive regime of Pagan Min, a man known as much for his sense of style and charisma as his cruelty and calculated brutality.  Navigating the treacherous landscape, you find your fate increasingly determined by the choices you make because in Kyrat, every second is a story.

Over on Ubisoft’s blog, the publisher has also revealed the “Kyrat Edition” for Far Cry 4. that includes the following:

  • Statue of Pagan Min
  • Travel Journal
  • Propaganda Poster
  • Map of Kyrat
  • Collector’s Box
  • Hurk’s Redemption (the three single-player missions in the Limited Edition)
  • The Impaler

Available for $129.99, it can be pre-ordered now and will be out the same day as the vanilla game on November 18.

Here’s how the goodies are presented in the promo material:

Speaking of the “vanilla” edition, Ubisoft has also said that those who pre-order Far Cry 4 will automatically be bumped to the Limited Edition, which will contain three additional single-player missions.

In other Far Cry 4 news, we confirmed that the shooter won’t have split-screen co-op. Make sure you check out our hands-on preview that left us impressed with what we saw at E3.
