Alien: Isolation Pre-Order Bonuses Include Two Bonus Missions, Allows You to Play as Ellen Ripley (Update)

Update: Over on its official Facebook page, developer Creative Assembly posted a messaged stating that the DLC will be available to everyone at a later date.

It’s genuinely been great to see the reaction to The Crew Expendable and Last Survivor pre-order bonus content we announced yesterday and how excited you all are to re-experience those classic scenes from the original movie with our Alien. It’s been absolutely amazing for us at the Studio.

However, some of you have been asking if the two pieces of content are only available through pre-order or if we’ll be releasing them at a later date as well.

So, I can confirm today that we do plan to release both Crew Expendable and Last Survivor at a later date and we’ll have more details for you guys on that shortly.

Best, Nee.

We’ll let you know once SEGA has released a price for the DLC as soon as we come across that info.

Original Story:

If our glowing E3 preview of Alien: Isolation wasn’t enough to convince you to pre-order the game, then maybe this will. In a press release sent today by SEGA, the publisher announced the bonus players will receive for pre-ordering Creative Assembly’s upcoming title.

Pre-ordering the survival horror game will let you experience the “Crew Expendable” bonus mission, where “ Players can choose to play as one of three surviving crewmembers, only moments after Brett’s death at the jaws of the creature. As Ellen Ripley, Dallas or Parker, players can explore the Nostromo from habitation deck down through engineering, coordinating their efforts with Lambert and Ash to lure the Alien into the ship’s airlock.”

Those who pre-order at GameStop will also receive the “Last Survivor” content, which sees “players pick up the story as Ripley tries to escape on the Narcissus. On hearing the screams of Lambert and Parker, players must navigate their way back down through the Nostromo in order to activate the self-destruct sequence, before retracing their steps back to the Narcissus shuttle and their escape.”

You can check out a trailer of the bonus missions above.

Alien: Isolation will crawl out on October 7 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
