Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition to Allow Cross-Platform Save Transfers, Even From Xbox to PlayStation

In rather good news, Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo III console players will be able to transfer their saves from last-gen (PS3/Xbox 360) to now-gen consoles for the upcoming Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition.

Not only that, but it will even be available for consoles not in the same brand. So, those who played on the Xbox 360 can transfer their saves to the PlayStation 4, and PS3 gamers can transfer their progress to the Xbox One. However, Xbox One to PS4 and vice-versa won’t be available.

Transferring data will relatively be pain-free, since it all you need to do is link your Gamertag or PSN ID to Battle.net account and the rest of steps are handled via in-game menus. You don’t need to install specific software, use a USB drive or anything else.

Anyone looking forward to transfer their game saves cross-platform?

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition will launch this August 19 on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4.
