Cellar Door Games: Sony Made It “Very Easy” to Port Rogue Legacy to PlayStation

If you’re a sucker for old-school or “rogue-like” games, then chances are you’ve already picked up Cellar Door Games’ Rogue Legacy.

But our coverage of this little gem doesn’t stop there. In an exclusive interview with PlayStation LifeStyle, Cellar Door Games’ co-founder Kenny Lee, we asked him what was the studio’s decision in bringing this year-old port to PlayStation platforms.

For us it was a small part financial, and a much bigger part bucket list. We’ve never made anything for consoles, and really having that opportunity was a very big privilege. Sony also made it a very easy decision. They approached us so we didn’t need to scrounge for connections. Their platforms were also picking up steam and it made so much sense to see the game on the Vita. The PS3 and PS4 were the cherries on top, but I really wanted to see it on the Vita.

Make sure to check back at some point later this week for our full interview where we discuss Cellar Door Games’ next project and lots more.

Have you played Rogue Legacy? If not, check out our glowing review to give you a firm understanding of what you’ll be getting into.
