After being postponed due to the PSN troubles over the weekend, Sony has announced that the PlayStation Network maintenance has been rescheduled for Thursday, August 28. This maintenance is expected to last for roughly seven hours in North America and will “deploy a series of back-end improvements to the network.”
Here’s the timing for the maintenance on Thursday, August 28:
Begins
- 9:40am PST/12:40pm EST in North America, 16:00 BST in Europe
Ends
- 4:50pm PST/7:50pm EST in North America, 05:00 BST (on Friday) in Europe
Here’s your reminder to sign in to the PSN to continue playing online during the maintenance:
If you’ve signed in to the network any time since August 23rd you will be able to play games online and access partner apps such as Netflix during this maintenance period. The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will not be available during this time, and users may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access these services.
If the timing happens to change again on the maintenance, we’ll let you know.
We thank you for your patience and support and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
