Grand Theft Auto V Update 1.16 Makes GTA Online Unplayable on PlayStation 3 12GB Systems

According to a recent post by Rockstar Games on their support page, Grand Theft Auto V online features are no longer able to run on PlayStation 3 12GB systems due to the recent update to 1.16.

The update happened on August 19, at which point PS3 owners with 12GB hard drives no longer had enough room to be able to play GTA Online. Apparently, the new update added in just enough content to force owners of 12GB systems to get a bigger hard drive.

While it is unfortunate that PS3 12GB owners will not be able to play any of the new hilariously named verified jobs, Rockstar did explain that users will still be able to play the GTA V story mode without any issues, even though they will longer be able to download any new updates.

Luckily, Rockstar has included a link in their post to help PS3 owners upgrade their hard drives and avoid missing out on playing GTA Online.
