Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow producer David Cox had his final day at Konami today after 17 years of working with the company.
Cox posted a series of tweets explaining his decision to leave and thanking everyone who worked with him.
After seventeen years I have decided to leave Konami to explore new opportunities. Today is my final day with the company #endofanera

Cox explains that he joined Konami back in 1997 as a UK product manager. His first project was Castlevania: Symphony of Night, after which he went on to work on a number of other titles, including the highly praised PlayStation 3 game Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.
He then added that he will be moving onto “something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” promising more details after he takes a break for a while.
The last Castlevania game David Cox worked on, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, was unfortunately a disappointment to many fans, as it was not able to fully live up to its prequel’s potential.
Which of David Cox’s games did you like best? Will you be sad to see him leave Konami?
