When the free PlayStation Plus Edition of DriveClub launches alongside the main game on October 7 in North America and October 8 in Europe, we know it will include 1 location (India), 11 tracks, 10 cars (two from each of the five classes), access to all game modes, and the ability to unlock trophies.
Over on his Twitter account, Game Director Paul Rustchynsky confirmed a few more things about DriveClub, including that the Mercedes-AMG GT will be available as a free download upon launch week. Unfortunately, the free car only works on full versions of the game, with Paul saying, “PS+ owners will get feature updates, but not new cars.” So, while owners of the PS+ Edition won’t get new cars, they will receive feature updates (like the weather update).
Paul also said the DriveClub pre-order should be live in the North American PlayStation Store starting next week, and there will “hopefully” be a DriveClub sound profile for the Stereo Headset 2.0.
