Thanks to a strong Destiny launch of 91,000 units on PlayStation 4 and 50,000 on PlayStation 3, PS4 hardware sales saw a big jump from 7,300 the previous week to 23,600 last week, putting it in 2nd place overall behind the 3DS XL. Also in the hardware chart, the Xbox One dropped from a launch week of 25,600 sold to just 3,000 sold last week.
Over in the software chart, Destiny occupied the 2nd and 3rd spots, but didn’t even come close to catching Super Smash Bros. 3DS, which launched to 944,000 copies sold.
