Along with revealing that a playable demo – titled Episode Duscae – for Final Fantasy XV would be included with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD when it releases in March 2015, Square Enix also released the above TGS 2014 trailer for XV, which features a healthy dose of gameplay.
As well, the company announced that Final Fantasy XV Director Tetsuya Nomura will now be replaced by Final Fantasy Type-0 Director Hajime Tabata, with Nomura’s full attention now being placed on Kingdom Hearts III.
Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda talked about the Director change, saying, “Currently, Tabata and the entire development team are working, whole-heartedly, towards completing the production of Final Fantasy XV and ensuring the delivery of the highest quality Final Fantasy title to date.” After inviting everyone to play the demo next year, Matsuda added, “[We] promise to present a game that further surpasses expectations when the finished product is released.”
Square Enix has yet to give a release window for Final Fantasy XV on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
