Released earlier this month through the PlayStation Store, Sony announced today that Minecraft: PS4 Edition will be coming to retail on October 3 in Europe and October 7 in North America. Amazon.com currently has the game up for pre-order at $19.99.
In order to “ensure you have the best Minecraft experience possible on the PS4,” a day 1 patch for the retail version of Minecraft: PS4 Edition will be available for download, likely addressing some of the bugs that have popped up so far.
As for Minecraft: PS Vita Edition, SCEA’s Brian Silva revealed that the release date is still a few weeks away:
