Even with 34 million copies of Grand Theft Auto V shipped on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 so far, Take-Two President Karl Slatoff revealed at an MKM Partners Entertainment & Leisure Conference today (via GameSpot) that he not only believes there are people who haven’t bought GTA V yet, but also that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game might help move consoles:
The obvious question is, ‘Is there anyone else out there who would still buy it?’ We happen to believe that there are people out there who have not bought the title yet. We think that GTA V on next-gen platforms could actually really move some hardware as well.
He added that Rockstar’s set on “delivering on a creative vision that will compel people to go out and lay out more money than they already have at this point.”
When Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto V would release for the PS4 and Xbox One on November 18, they detailed that the new-gen versions would include new weapons, new vehicles, new activities, denser traffic, a new foliage system, and more. Because of all these new additions, Slatoffs thinks “the value proposition will be very compelling.”
Slatoff also touched upon Grand Theft Auto Online, revealing that it has “surpassed our expectations” and “we have a long-term plan to continue to offer content to the consumer.”
Will you be buying Grand Theft Auto V for a second time when it comes to PS4 and Xbox One this November?
