In an interview with Kotaku, Final Fantasy Type-0 director Hajime Tabata talked about the changes that the game’s upcoming HD remaster is set to have when it comes out in March of next year for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
One of the biggest changes Tabata mentioned is the addition of an easy mode to the HD remaster. For anyone that thought the PSP version of the game was too hard, the new easy mode will allow players to do more damage, level up faster, and take less damage.
The other huge change Tabata brought up was the loss of the co-op mode. Apparently, the PSP version of the game used ad-hoc to play co-op, while the HD version would need to use the internet. The change from ad-hoc to internet would have taken to much time, Tabata said.
So rather than taking time to remake [the co-op mode], I would rather keep as many of the original elements as possible but still deliver a game as quickly as possible to satisfy the demands of the fans.
What do you think of the Final Fantasy Type-0 changes? Are you bummed that co-op is being taken out? Will you make use of the new easy mode?
